Abstract

Remarks on malignant lymphomas have been treated at oncology department of Cantho genaral hospital from 2000 to 2003 36 patients with primary diagnosis of malignant lymphomas. Age : 12 - 71, mean age : 41,5. Duration from onset of signs to hospitalization : often less than 6 months. One case HIV positive , 2 patients were pathologically diagnosed Hodgkin's disease ( 5,5%). The most patients were classified as stage III and IV. All patients had lymph node enlargement , fever was a symtom often accompanied. Axillary, head and neck ( infra-diaphragmatic) lymphadenopathy was most frequent on clinical examination and ultrasound. The great number of patients at oncology department of Cantho genaral hospita were diagnosed by peripheral lymph node enlargement , the remainder were revealed by ultrasound with abdominal mesenteric nodes, stomach, lung, breast ...( 10%).The most frequent histologic type : diffused and large cell type. CHOP regime treatment based on anthracycline (Adriamycine, Donorubicine ) was the first choice. Effective combination chemotherapy results in cure rate of 60 - 70%, depending on disease's stage and NHL subtype.
