Minh.
Kết quả:Trung bình chiều cao sinh viên nam 167,1 cm ± 5,9,
sinh viên nữ 155,5 cm ± 5,1. Cân nặng trung bình sinh viên nam 60,2 kg ± 9,2,
sinh viên nữ 49,8 kg ± 6,3. Vòng ngực trung bình sinh viên nam 82,3 cm ±6,2,
sinh viên nữ 79,2 cm ± 5,3. Tỉ lệ suy dinh dưỡng chung 14,8 % (12,4% ở sinh
viên nam, 17,6 % ở sinh viên nữ), tỉ lệ thừa cân là 11,8 % (13,8 % ở sinh viên
nam, 9,7% ở sinh viên nữ), tỉ lệ béo phì độ I là 9,4% (11,7% ở sinh viên nam,
tỉ lệ thừa cân, béo phì độ I ở sinh viên, đặc biệt sinh viên nam có béo phì độ
II là 1%, bệnh về mắt và răng có tỉ lệ cao.

Objectives: The aim of the study is to classify physical
fitness, health and nutrition status via anthropometric measurements and their
determinants on first year students of programs leading to medical or dental
degrees of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh city in the
academic year 2016-2017.
Methods: A longitudinal study was conductedon 731 first
year students of programs leading to medical or dental degrees 2016-2017of the
University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh city in the academic year
2016-2017. Data on height, weight, mid-arm circumference, triceps skinfold,
chest, abdomen and hip circumferences, collected by anthropometric measurements
at the beginning and the end of the academic year. Demographic variables were
collected by self-administered questionnairesat the beginning of the year.
Results: The mean± standard deviation of height were 167.1
cm ± 5.9 and 155.5 cm ± 5.1 in male and female students, respectively; of
weight were 60.2 kg ± 9.2 and 49.8 kg ± 6.3; of chest circumference were 82.3
cm ±6.2 and 79.2 cm ± 5.3; Chronic energy deficiency was 14.8 % (12.4 % in
males, 17.6 % in females). The percentage of overweight was 11.8 % (13.8 % in
males, 9.7% in females); Obesity 1 was 9.4% (11.7% in males, 6.7% in females); Obesity
2was 1% in males. Health classification of Very strong
and strong were 82.8% in males and 79.6% in females; Average, weak and very weak
were 17.2% in males and 20.4% in females. Proportion of medicinal illness was
2.4%, surgical diseases 3.4%, eye diseases 76.6%, Ear, Nose and Throat diseases
4%, dental diseases50.4%. Place of residence, religionwere found to be
associated significantly with physical classification.
Conclusion:
Anthropometric measurements, such
as height, weight, chest circumference, BMI, were improved compared with
previous studies. However, overweightand
obesity were higher. Eye diseases, dental diseaseswere
common among these students.
